Trucks & Trailers Wet Hire
When ‘wet hire’ is engaged you are not only receiving the equipment but the biggest advantage is that you are also given a highly skilled and experienced person to operate the equipment.
This allows our clients a complete security in the knowledge that the project will be carried out in best practice as the site will allow, on time and with complete safety in mind.
The operation of equipment is and can be very technical, and you are not only hiring the plant and equipment but very skilled operators capable of doing the job with ease.
Although, it can be said, it may have a higher cost to wet hire plant and equipment, but hiring unskilled operators can be at a higher cost albeit site development errors, safety incidents and poor workflow.
We aim to please our clients with the upmost professionalism and keep their site clean and organised.
Our drivers are skilled operators and reliable as they have a very good knowledge of Brisbane and surrounding areas in south-east Queensland.
Our insurances cover for any incidents that may occur, so you can rest assured we are professional in all we do.

Ballard’s Team are well-versed in earthmoving and demolition activities for the civil construction industry, and we understand the correct equipment to take to the job.
Our driver and operator experience is sought after as our staff have a minimum of 10 years work experience.
It must be said, anyone can own plant and equipment, but it is the operator behind the wheel that is the most pertinent part of our business, in the supply of wet plant hire in the civil construction industry. It is true that with the competent operator, the work performed is of a high standard.
As for the water truck driver, it is most important that the driver understands water on a sub-divisional site, so as to not drown the site and cause problems for the grader operator, and at the same time, the ground must not dry out so that it cannot be manipulated by the grader.
The ability to utilise our diverse range of excavators ranging in size from 3-ton – 13-ton to 21-ton and our water trucks ranging in size from 6000-litres to 15000-litres, allow us to offer our clients the best equipment for the job to suit the operational works.
If you are looking for 10 tonne tippers, our body trucks have low sides for easy loading with skid steers, Positraks or small excavators. This is helpful for those pool or landscaping jobs and sub-divisional works.
The body trucks or semi-tippers are used for carting a range of materials such as, concrete, gravels, rubbish, soil, green waste & tree stumps and generally all materials on sub-divisional works. We also have an ERA license with insurance to cover contaminated soils and materials.
For combo hire, we can load our body truck with the skid-steer or mini-excavator.
We have semi-tippers with low and high side, either steel or aluminium for carting larger amounts of materials.
We also have temporary fencing that we setup on our demolition jobs, that can be carried in the body trucks or semi-tippers or on our own float.
We are known and have proved to be efficient, affordable, and reliable.
We have never traded insolvent and have been trading for 36 years as one owner!!
Our reliability to perform the work required of us, is attributed to the fact that we independently own all the range of equipment on offer.
